How Do Worksheets Work?

Where to find them

Many activities on Byrdseed.TV come with a downloadable worksheet or PDF. Look for the download links below the video on any activity page.

Not every activity has a worksheet. Some are discussion-based or hands-on and don't need one.

How to use them

  1. Play the video. The video introduces the activity and walks students through what to do.
  2. Hand out the worksheet. Download the PDF and print copies for your students.
  3. Students work while watching. Most worksheets are designed to be used alongside the video. Students fill them in as the video plays or right after.

Types of downloads

Depending on the activity, you might see:

  • Brainstorming worksheets — blank grids or spaces for students to write ideas (like Words Within Words or New Uses For).
  • Answer keys or descriptions — reference sheets for activities like Not Like The Others.
  • Writing prompts — structured templates for creative writing activities.

Can I edit the worksheets?

Worksheets are PDFs, so you can't edit them directly. But you can print as many copies as you need for your class.

What if there's no worksheet?

Some activities work without one. Discussion-based activities, puzzlements, and game-based lessons just need a screen and students ready to think.
